Jeff and Deb Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center
A Place to Learn
The facility is unique to Iowa State and nearly all of the Midwest, allowing animal-human interaction through teaching laboratories, outreach activities and a variety of functions for future and current students.
As a keystone in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ efforts to train students for a diverse set of opportunities in animal science, agriculture and related fields, the center provides an inviting environment for recruiting young people interested in learning more about the vast career opportunities within the agriculture industry.
Education continues when the students leave the classroom. A variety of student organizations use the facility to conduct meetings, host events, and network. The Hansen Center employs several Iowa State University students from a multitude of majors and backgrounds.
In addition, the facility holds a wide range of events outside Iowa State University, such as business meetings, formal dinners, and private celebrations. The center is truly versatile in its capabilities and an outstanding place to have an event.

Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center Storage Event
This summer, Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center (HASLC) is holding a storage event that will cater to the needs of Iowa State University students during the transition from summer to fall housing. It is very common for students to be left homeless for a few days while they wait to move into a new home for the fall semester. So HASLC is offering a solution!
July 22nd through August 5th the Hansen Center will open its’ doors for students to store their furniture and household items as a much less expensive, safe and affordable alternative to storage units. With a few different options for space and trailer parking, this event will be a perfect opportunity to make those last minute plans a little easier during the transition this year.
To apply for space today go to haslc.ag.iastate.edu/hansen-storage-event. Applications are due on Monday, July 11, 2016.
